………..there was a little girl who wanted to venture outdoors to see what her older siblings got up to each day.
Her mother was also craving some fresh air, tired of the bounds of the house and the associated cleaning, cooking and bookwork.
Little Eliza was unsure of what to expect as she was loaded into her trusty pram,
although with big brother at the wheel, it was sure to be an adventure!
First hurdle was the grid – her transport whilst great for city driving was a little inadequate for country grids.
The Traffic Control officer suggested that the party detour through a gate….
which proved to be a sensible idea although the approaches were still a little bumpy!
Never the less, the destination was in sight.
I’d be curious to know if the sales lady in David Jones, when asked if this model would handle rugged use,  imagined the pram in this light!
Now Dad, Tess, Andrew & Lachlan had been busy all morning mustering
and had filled the yards with heifers to draft.
so this little girl’s mother perched herself on the top rail to oversee the proceedings.

while the children entertained themselves. And of course Eliza was included in all their games……..

Satisfied that all was well out in the paddock, it was time to journey home
And what better way to relax after a day’s work,
than take off your hat and boots
and swing under the shade of a tree…..
And as for Little Eliza, all that play and fresh air was totally exhausting….
The end!!

Hi Ainsley, I’m Jane. stumbled upon your blog just now. Good luck with the home schooling, you’re a marvel. This ‘story’ and watching the pram going around your property was truly entertaining. Are you getting the rain? Here is Brisvegas, we’re getting swamped. best wishes to you all. Jane x
