My intrigue with numbers continues as I examine the rainfall records. February is by average our wettest month, but storms have been patchy this year and today we rejoiced in some soaking rain.
Eliza wasn’t quite sure what to make of it all, the drops startled her!
But I’m sure in 12 months or so, her siblings will have given her a few tips!
Once again mini school week is upon us. The five little ones and I are leaving Dad in peace this week. We are heading to the “big smoke” for a wonderful and hectic week of catching up, learning and new experiences. Or for those uninitiated to Distance Education, “real” school with “real” teachers for the kids and “teacher” school for the Mum’s/Home Tutors. I’m also looking forward to coffee and a catch up with good friends.

With thanks to the overnight showers, I won’t even have to worry about whether the plants get watered, although the tropical humidity and my lawn will work together for a world record growth spurt! Looks like the mower will get a workout as we prepare the garden for a Bush Christening!

love the good old fashioned rain gauge (the glass bit AND the tin that goes around it) (it would be classed as vintage and have a ginormous price tag on it in the antique shops!) there are a couple of those still lingering around my parents place.

    Have fun at mini school!
