The McArthur’s are land dwellers through and through…not much nautical knowledge in this camp.
However Tess has never been shy of a challenge and thought a little maritime experience with the Young Endeavour Crew would be a great learning adventure.
So this morning she swapped her boots and spurs for a spray jacket and shorts to  join Voyage 13/12, departing Airlie Beach and arriving in Mackay in 10 days time.
She will learn to navigate the seas, take the helm, keep watch and work aloft.
And by the look of this boat, she will certainly be able to tie a knot!!

Rob is also excited that oiling the windmills won’t be an issue after she has scaled the 100′ mast…
Bon Voyage Tess, we’ll be waiting at the dock in Mackay!

oh wow, what a great experience! I would have loved to have done something like that at the same ages.

Although not so sure about the crows nest bit.

    Anchors away!
