Today was a very exciting day for this little boy….
poor old Dad went to work by himself because his little helper had started a new chapter in his life.
It was the first day of eKindy, a brand new initiative to deliver a comprehensive ‘at home’ kindergarten program to children who are unable to access a centre based program.
Hamish love labelling his own folder – the simple delight of seeing his name in print in the schoolroom!
Although we have a week’s grace this week as our materials arrive and we peruse the said materials, Hamish was keen to write a letter to Miss Danielle and tell her about himself.
Got to love kids – he told her how much he loves chicken sandwiches and I’m sure he has only had 2 in his whole life!!
Andrew & Lachlan were very accommodating in our “getting crowded” schoolroom and readily moved over for Hamish.
Lachlan was inspired by all the fun activities that seemed to go with eKindy and produced a fine drawing of his environment for CLC.
My bedside reading pile now includes these.
Although it is not looking too hard at this stage….I am fully aware at how things sometimes go a little pear shaped! Particularly as Adelaide & Eliza are sure to want to be part of it..
I think I will enjoy the Quiet Time sessions, just not sure a couch will fit in the schoolroom however a timber daybed on the verandah would do just nicely!
