One of the things we love most about our life on the land, is the opportunity to work together as a family.
The kids pull their weight out in the paddock, helping with the varied tasks that need to be completed.
But life is not all work and no play.
It’s summer and that means cricket season is upon us. The boys often recruit the workforce in to make a fair dinkum team.
Lucky it isn’t the Ashes as we currently have a few players with direct links to England.
Their enthusiasm for backyard cricket prompted us to secure some tickets to the Big Bash League match between Brisbane Heat and the Melbourne Renegades at the Gabba a few weeks ago.
We all got into the spirit …..
….. along with 26,000 other fans!
Seems there is plenty of excitement and noise at a BBL game to keep us all on the edge of our seats.
The enthusiasm was maintained in the lead up to Christmas. The motivation Santa provides is nothing short of amazing.
Our Christmas this year was again spent on the verandah. Although it was just our crew, it was anything but quiet.
Gifts were abundant and tickled our fancy.
Our Christmas Day left us feeling just the way Christmas should … full of good food, family love and counting all our blessings.
It was a sweet moment to stop and treasure as we then continue to bat on into the New Year Innings.
