Ian Francis is one of Australia’s finest horseman. Who else would our Tess ask to conduct a colt starting clinic on the eve of our two year old’s being ready to break?
Uncle Blair & Aunty Josie also had a drop of two year olds ready to start  meaning Kimberley would be the perfect venue to host the school.
On day five, curiosity got the better of me and I decided to drive the 3 and half hours to see what had eventuated.
 I was simply amazed.
Our two young’uns left home hardly handled and barely haltered……

Now they aren’t far short of kids ponies …. although Tess has bigger plans 😉
Meet Clancy on the left and Mojo on the right.
This afternoon (Day 6), and with the horses now back on home turf, drizzle falling and kids and dogs frolicking, it was time for the ultimate test.
She received a resounding seal of approval!
Under Ian’s guidance, each of the willing students progressed in leaps and bounds with their steeds.

And while each spent quality one on one with Ian, the other’s listened intently.

The heat was a little hard to bear earlier in the week ….

…. but both man and horse learnt to think laterally.

Another few weeks of gentle riding and all these colts will be on the payroll!
