The Lego has been moved aside and the holiday clutter has been cleared in our schoolroom for tomorrow will mark the first official day of Andrew’s Year 4 and Lachlan’s Year 1.
My heart has been beating a little faster than usual the past few days as I contemplate the multi age classroom with an early childhood centre (Hamish & Adelaide) operating concurrently, a baby to feed, settle & cuddle, along with my business commitments, house, garden and of course feeding the tribe. I know I’m not alone with Distance Education mum’s nationwide facing the same challenges.
I know there will be good days and bad days, tears and laughs, frustration & exhiliration, mess and occasionally order.

However, I am grateful that my little chicks will remain in the nest for a few more years. Those parents returning children to boarding school or settling them in for the first time have been in my thoughts all day…..
