Rob & I feel very fortunate to have 3 girls and 3 boys although we would have been very content with 1 girl and 5 boys or 2 girls and 4 boys or 5 girls and 1 boy…it just doesn’t matter!
However this week our family is a little lopsided with Adelaide away on a visit to Grandma & Grandad. They live around 700km away so it isn’t a one night sleepover but rather a week long vacation.
Taking one out of the equation seems to lower the noise levels in our house by a few decibals. It has also meant a few readjustments…
Eliza has had to talk Hamish into riding lessons on her trike.
Tess has to chase the calves up and close both the slides on the branding race.

I only have to put boots and hat on one child.

Eliza has nobody to yabber to on the Ranger.

Hamish has to load the NLIS tags into the applicator at branding.

And when the boys turn to sword fights and super hero games, at least Tess and Eliza can still band together. Girl power all the way!

love that last photo, how lucky are your kids to have a great big sister!

sounds like mum might be missing Adelaide just a wee bit too 😉

I always felt that even just one away felt like quite a holiday! I’m sure that very special little one is sorely missed though. She’ll be keeping Grandma and Grandpa on their toes no doubt!

I am just imagining life for you if you had of had 6 of the one kind. Love it! That spirited little cherub will be home soon.
