Our kids are fortunate to be able to work with us most days (remembering on school days it is the other way round, and I’m fortunate to work with them!)
Ask them what their favourite thing to do with Dad is and most often they’ll answer whatever is on the agenda at the time. This past week, it’s most definitely been fencing amongst a bit of cattle work.
All of them love the outdoors, complete with horses and cows.
More often than not, their real life experiences flow over to their downtime playtime.
Take for instance the mustering of cattle:

What tickled me most about this photo was the horse in the lead. When mustering, we always have a lead person to direct and control the mob behind.

We have been fortunate in the rain stakes again, receiving six and a half inches in a beautiful steady fall. Unfortunately we had a yard full of cattle and an order to fill so work went on as usual ….

It’s not only the big boys who like to play in the mud and puddles …..

As the week-end draws to a close, I’m just waiting to see if the toy trucks are lined up at the car wash tomorrow …..

That pink truck goes very well with Adelaide’s pink cowgirl attire Ainsley. Gee you’ve had a dream season haven’t you? Enjoy.

And does one horse always ride on top of the truck? My childhood favourite game was playing with the toy farm, as was my childrens. It’s interesting to see how different the set up is to yours, both reflecting the farms around. Ours was all tractors and machines with a few animals in the background.

Lucky spot for rain ’tis Mystery Park, always great to see your family all part of it. Looks like Sam enjoyed himself too and Rob for that matter.
